Caricature Artist
We were referred to a caricature artist by a friend who had him at their real estate grand opening. He did a party for us in February for a 1 year old birthday. The parents wanted to provide something different for their older guests to do since an astro jump and Elmo character weren't really going to appeal to them. He can sketch up to 20-30 people per hour. Please contact us if you are interested in hiring a caricature artist for your next event.
Surprise birthday at Dolce's Lounge
We received a frantic call from one of our repeat clients that needed a venue for her husband's 40th birthday party. She was concerned about having her party at her house because it was too small to host an adult party. I presented her with the idea of having it at Dolce's in Bonita. After a meeting with their events coordinator, we set up a menu of food and beverages that was within her budget. We arrived early to set up the balloon centerpieces we made with 40th birthday mylars and latex balloons. We had menus created with the birthday boy's early childhood pictures. The buffet table was set with beef and chicken skewers, crab cakes, and nachos. We also had a chocolate fondue set with marshmallows, strawberries and bananas. The bartender served up a variety of drinks to the guests as they presented their drink tickets. I gave out drink tickets to each guest as they arrived and were checked into the "VIP" list. The birthday boy arrived to the restaurant thinking it was just him, his wife and son. His guests shouted the traditional "Surprise" and the guests started off the evening dancing to Old School.
Frannie the Clown
Need a clown for your next party??? We have been referring our customers to one of the best clowns I've worked with. Her name is Frannie the Clown. She is the cutest clown I've ever seen. Her make-up and costumes are always colorful and bright. She did the clowning for the real estate picnic we did in September. The kids absolutely loved her and since then we have been referring our customers to her. She will do face painting and balloon sculptures. Please contact us at the store for her booking information.
Character parties
I've always loved hiring characters for my parties. The characters really bring out the theme in any party because they come dressed in character and do activities with the children. The most popular characters right now are the Disney Princesses and Tinker Bell. They will sing, play games and do face painting with the children. We have a list of characters that are available. Here are a couple of the last few events we did with character entertainment. These were all actually on the same day. I ran around taking pictures of them in action.
Realty Executives Premier Awards Banquet 2007
Albert & I really enjoyed this event because we actually got to enjoy the party since we were only in charge of decorations. The event was held at Tom Ham's Lighthouse. The agents arrived to the event by walking on the red carpet. The room looked awesome with all the lighting and ballooons covering the tables. We did not have a huge budget for decorations so we filled the room up with lots of balloons. We made the centerpieces with Oscar statues raised on a silver base with star garland hanging over the sides. We also added gold and silver mylar balloons along with silver, gold and black latex balloons. We sprayed gold and silver star confettis over the white linens. We also put white votives surrounded by rose petals that we made to add a little bit of red. We made four 7 ft. balloon pillars at the stage with huge silver mylar balloons on top. The entertainment was great as we hired Patrick Moreno as a dj. There were also ballroom dancers in between awards presentations.
Elsa Flores Photo & Design Grand Opening Party
Elsa & Lori's grand opening was a huge hit. Her new studio was the perfect location because of the space. Guests were greeted at the door with champagne almond. We displayed the food with her signature color, moss green. The menu included beef & chicken skewers, seafood pasta (w/crab & shrimp), cucumber salad, cheese & cracker platter. The biggest hit was the chocolate ganache with fresh fruit. We also set up a self-serve coffee bar with freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and green tea. The guests loving pouring in the whip cream, cinammon & chocolate sprinkles. Lori's dad was the bartender and served up plenty of wine & beer to the 200+ guests.
The ambience was amazing with belly bars spread throughout and green moss candles lit in square votives with water and river rock. There were so many Realtors and people from the community including the Chula Vista Chamber who did the ribbon cutting. At Lori & Elsa's request, DJ Groove spun house music all night long.
